Job Description

The role sits within our Regulatory Reporting Change capability which works with clients to deliver regulatory change. The capability focuses on delivering more than pure compliance and positions regulation at the Centre of business transformation to drive operating efficiency and effectiveness. The successful candidate will have in-depth working knowledge of regulatory reporting and proven record of driving regulatory implementation programmes/projects. They should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A clear understanding of the regulatory environment around Prudential reporting (including FINREP, Capital, RWA and Liquidity) for banking and investment entities, and an awareness of the evolving regulatory landscape
  • A working knowledge of emerging regulatory themes relating to reporting and reporting standards with experience of working in ESG/sustainability strategy with preparation for reporting transformation
  • Demonstrates experience of working in finance and regulatory change and can explain the impact of change to the operating model, across process and controls, governance, data and systems
  • Experience of target operating model design and implementation, along with process improvement through technology enabled solutions
  • Expertise in best-in-class process and control knowledge for regulatory reporting, specific to Retail and/or Investment Banking and can explain the key challenges being faced in moving to an efficient and effective reporting environment
  • A proven track record of operating in a project environment and able to work with a variety of stakeholders to achieve transformation and business outcomes

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding of strategic and business drivers of Financial Services
  • Working knowledge of the Finance function and Finance operating models
  • Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to create and deliver high level presentations and output reviews to senior executives/stakeholders and business managers
  • Accountancy qualification with strong post qualification experience or equivalent experience (optional)
  • Programme and project management experience
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Experience mobilizing and leading major and complex regulatory change programmes/projects
  • Ability to manage cross-functional global engagement teams, both internally and external client teams
  • Demonstrate experience of working on multiple projects, managing time effectively to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to review and challenge information that has been provided by other team members, ensuring the information is ‘fit for purpose’ and at the right level of granularity
  • Leading development of technology enabled Client solutions and propositions
  • Building and leveraging both internal and external relationships to support Partners and Directors in driving business development and sales activities
  • Experience of working on Client sales team and developing strong client relationships
  • Leading the pursuit of business development opportunities around Regulatory Reporting transformation including and ESG implementation
  • Perform a lead role in forming internally generated solutions and training that are developed by the Regulatory Transformation capability
  • Lead and form teams to support, the development of initiatives that grow and promote the practice internally and externally
  • Support the development of junior team members through formal training as well as informal coaching & mentoring
  • Strong people manager who can lead large teams and develop/coach others
