Job Description
The company manages and provides food and beverage concessions, premium dining, entertainment, lodging, and retail at many large venues and special places. These include sports stadiums, entertainment complexes, national and state parks, airports, and casinos.
The key responsibilities for the Finance Manager:
- Responsible for the monthly Management Accounts pack for each of the profit/loss centers as coordinated by Head Office, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for all aspects of debt collection through direct interface with clients and supporting on site operational teams.
- Conduct detailed analysis of cost lines with unit management, analyzing variances and exploring potential issues.
- Interrogate the data and challenge the management team, providing recommendations for change in order to exceed targets.
- Responsible for monthly forecasting, providing detailed analysis and evidence to substantiate the assumptions made (e.g. sales mix analysis).
- To analyze and identify variances between the actual versus forecast/plan on a monthly and year end out turn basis, supporting the management team in making improvements and enhancing business performance.
- Responsible for the weekly reporting tools in relation to match day and M&E including analysis of forecast vs. actual of the following areas - sales, COG's, payroll.
- To ensure this is discussed with the operations to help maximize profits.
- Responsible for weekly Profit & Loss accounts as per the Head Office timetable and format so that the financial performance can be tracked and monitored.
- Hold weekly meetings with the on site management teams to discuss the results and agree appropriate actions.
- Responsible for entries within the accounting software and complete a reconciliation of the sales sub system to the General Ledger to ensure accurate information is held within the financial systems.
- Manage the client reporting requirement as set out within the contract and by Head Office.
- Act as the champion/Project Manager for specific financial projects, (e.g. specific sales mix analysis) which will be implemented across the group and will further develop and enhance the financial performance of the UK business.
- In conjunction with the FP&A Manager, produce and co-ordinate the annual plan and forecast process.
- Responsible for all balance sheet control within the contract in co-ordination with and at the direction of the UK Head of Finance and with adherence to UK accounting standards.
- Manage relationship with internal and external auditors in matters to do with trading.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested.
