Job Description
This role will provide support and control of the business units' balance sheets and ensure that the financial statements reflect international standards. The successful candidate should have experience of working in a changing/evolving environment, demonstrate the ability to be a problem solver, have strong communication skills, be able to quickly establish a robust process and partner effectively with finance and non-finance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly close activities for the areas including preparation and posting of journals, identification of accruals and prepayments and cost assurance activities to ensure that results are complete and accurate.
- Production of key supporting schedules for significant costs within the areas supported.
- Preparation of Balance Sheet Packs providing full commentary on movements and breakdown of balances for areas supported.
- Identify opportunities for a more robust control environment to mitigate key risks
- Works with Finance, Business and Corporate function stakeholders to deliver outcomes they own by providing corresponding accounting, reporting and financial control support and enablement activities.
- Provide guidance to the wider finance team to ensure all financial and accounting regulations and legislation are adhered to.
