Lead strategic funding projects including structuring, negotiation and execution of wholesale funding transactions
Monitor and evaluate bond markets, providing analysis and insight to Close Brothers bond performance alongside peers, keeping abreast of market themes, regulations and trends
Input into the development of legal documentation for funding facilities.
Develop the wholesale investor engagement strategy, support roadshow activities and compile associated materials.
Lead rating agency relationship management, both at the Bank and transactional levels.
Understand key rating drivers, attend to key focus areas
Ensure wholesale funding activities are performing as expected and in line with contractual and regulatory obligations.
Keep abreast of latest market and regulatory developments, identifying potential impacts to funding structures
Closely monitor collateral performance and highlight emerging trends as they develop
Develop and provide input into ALCo and Risk Committee reporting as required
Develop strong relationships with the lending divisions to optimize cross departmental work
Develop strong relationships with the Treasury Senior Leadership Team
Build and maintain relationships with external parties including banks, investors and rating agencies.
Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven experience in Debt Capital Markets/ Structured Funding, including experience with securitization activities and investor reporting
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to communicate complex methodologies and findings in a simple and coherent manner, particularly with senior management
Excellent numerical, interpersonal and communication skills
Previous project management experience
Excellent financial market and regulatory understanding
