Job Description

This position will include a variety of Sales Administration and Accounting tasks, as well as the day-to-day management of suppliers and customers.

We are looking for someone who is hard-working, process driven and a team player. Having a genuine interest in the business, accounting, and eagerness to support other areas of the business and to get involved is essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Administration for Triumph and Harley-Davidson
  • Coding / Entering invoices and credit notes into the dealer management system
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Invoicing off orders against purchase orders
  • Bank and Petty Cash Reconciliations
  • Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Paying off warranty credits in the Sales Ledger
  • Reconciling supplier statements and ensuring invoices paid/ received by due dates
  • Staff expenses management including reconciliations and payment
  • VAT Return
  • Filing
  • Ad hoc support to the Group Accountant/ Head of Business as and when needed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills to deal with suppliers, customers and the wider finance team
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to use own initiative and sometimes implement own processes
  • Demonstrable passion to develop in accounting e.g., good progress in AAT, CIMA or other accounting qualifications. There is potential for study support.
  • Previous experience in Accounts, Admin and/or Finance role
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Basic understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping
