Job Description

This person will need to work collaboratively with teams across the company to deliver business plans, financial targets, and successful customer propositions in relation to In Life base management as well as creating the bridge between Commercial Revenue team and Planning & Proposition team. They will provide financial management, leadership, and insight, enabling good decision making and driving business success through commercial support & financial analysis of performance, helping identify opportunities to drive financial performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide decision support to the Consumer Props Management team on all aspects of in life management, where appropriate suggesting alternative solutions to help balance at times conflicting priorities.
  • Working with the business to overlay risks and opportunities and achieve buy in to the assumptions and targets. Financial analysis of the overall macroeconomics impacts to the Consumer PAYM P&L.
  • Analyze in life performance of customer behaviour through tariff changes (YoYo), channel mix & call information, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Utilize this information to support and challenge the business to deliver the best commercial results.
  • For in life base management, and working with Commercial Revenue team.
  • Must be comfortable to make assumptions & justify them when all the facts are not available.
  • Review monthly P&L performance and provide insight to drive actions to successfully deliver the key financial and customer targets across Consumer PAYM.
  • Be the Finance Business Partner who bridges the Commercial Revenue team with Planning & Propositions team
  • Provide monthly reporting where available
  • Provide decision support/be up to date with the trading position of our overall Consumer PAYM P&L.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • A highly motivated self-starter, able to deliver high quality commercial support with minimal guidance.
  • Highly commercial and analytical with the ability to identify key messages and influence decisions.
  • Strong track record in building relationships and influencing and driving the decision-making process.
  • Ability to priorities multiple demands to ensure greatest value add and managing expectations.
  • Able to proactively solve problems and make decisions on day-to-day issues.
  • Excellent communication skills across different levels of stakeholder.
  • Must have a detailed understanding of the mobile business including knowledge of key competitor trends and threats to mobile business.
