Job Description

This is an exciting Head of Finance (part-time) opportunity for an individual looking to make a real impact in role and become an integral part of an established consultancy SME. You will be responsible for maintaining the finance function and overseeing all day-to-day finance operations as delivered by the finance team. You will also provide strategic financial support to the Board of Directors to facilitate wider decision making and business planning as required. You will act as a true business partner across all business functions and be the point of communication between finance and Board of Directors and the wider company.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful Head of Finance (part-time) will have the following credentials:

• Professional finance qualification or qualified by experience
• Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate complexity to non-finance stakeholders at board level and across the business
• Understanding of revenue recognition, WIP, project accounting essential
• Consultancy/Professional services/construction sector experience highly desirable but equivalent experience considered
• Strong Excel skills - ideally used to heavy data sets and manipulation with analytical experience
• Line management - experienced team manager required
