Job Description

You will develop close relationships with your clients, you will help your bookkeeping clients understand which levers they need to pull to make their business successful and give all the support they need to pull them.

Responsibilities

Oversee a portfolio of Clients, where bookkeeping will be completed by another member of the team.

  • Build strong relationships with Clients, understanding their business and personal drivers and headwinds, support the Client to create a plan on how to achieve their goals and aspirations
  • Analyze debtor and creditor reports, providing advice and support to Clients to support their business
  • Produce management accounts to a very high standard. Ensuring all control accounts in the balance sheet reconcile and be able to explain any abnormalities and able to provide the Client guidance and advice on how to improve their business, in line with their goals
  • Produce cash flow and profit forecasting
  • Conduct regular meetings with the Client to review business performance and reviewing actions, to ensure accountability from the Client
  • Keep up to date with changing VAT and accounting knowledge
  • Work with the partners to increase business engagements by adding additional Services to existing Clients and bringing in new business.
  • Provide quotes to potential Clients or to partners for our bespoke services – taking into consideration the team member(s) who would be involved and charge out rates as well as the services being undertaken.
  • Have strong interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Communicate effectively with all parties; the Team, Suppliers and Clients.
  • Build strong relationships with Colleagues and Clients and achieve a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Work alongside the Leadership team and support the team and aid with training when necessary.

  • Monday to Friday

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

It is desirable for the role holder to be a qualified and/or certified bookkeeper, with either ICB, AAT or IAB (or similar). A high quality of accuracy and attention to detail is required in all areas of bookkeeping and payroll, this includes supporting clients with answers to their questions or directing them to the most appropriate help and guidance.
