Job Description

Understand and analyze financial trading performance to inform future forecasts and actions to improve. Lead and develop the capability of a team of 3-4 analysts to forecast and analyze financial performance. Develop the processes, models and files used to report, review and forecast business performance.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing absolute clarity on trading performance, underlying drivers, and potential corrective actions
  • Lead the process of engaging with functional leaders to review the financial performance of their teams and forecast trading performance, people, and costs
  • Review with the management accounts team to challenge and manage the result during their month-end close process
  • Refine processes for reporting and creation of key outputs including Board Slides, KPIs, trading performance reviews, cost centre business partnering
  • Improve forecasting model structure, logic, compliance and integration with upload processes

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate results, insights, and recommendations effectively to various levels of seniority – in both written and verbal communications
  • Able to work effectively on own initiative, and within small to large project environments
    Extracted, manipulated, and visualized data for reporting and ad hoc analysis (Excel)
  • Forecasting and planning for a significant sized business with multiple product lines / divisions
  • Preparing information for board level
  • Knowledge of Training industry is desirable but by no means essential
  • Knowledge of best practice in FP&A business partnering and process
  • Fully qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA
