Job Description
Reporting to the Management board, duties will include:
- Review and evaluate the Firm’s accounting systems, processes and controls and recommend improvements
- Managing production of Practice accounts, annual budget, cash flow, performance statistics, work in progress control and bad debt provision
- Prepare statutory accounts for 3 companies and arrange and co-ordinate audit as required
- Manage end of quarter billing process and report to partners
- Preparing papers and financial reports for the Board including: profit sharing, distributions, calculation of reserves
- Maintain Treasury function to optimize interest return and liaise with bank contacts
- Manage credit control function, debtor collection and fee disputes
- Manage financial aspects relating to retired Partners
- Direct line responsibility for the performance of the practice accounting staff and credit control staff
- Contractual matters, including insurance, professional indemnity insurance and equipment hire or finance agreements.
- Manage relationship with outsourced IT provider and maintenance company
- Responsible for the Firm’s Health & Safety ensuring that all legal obligations met
