Job Description

Driving end-to-end ownership of the procurement cycle, including analyzing market dynamics and company needs; developing and implementing sourcing strategy; selecting, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers; and leading supplier performance and relationships. The role will involve cross-functional partnerships, using our global scale to drive optimal supply for supply assurance, pricing, innovation, quality, and time-to-market.

What you'll do:

  • Develop comprehensive short- and long-term category strategies by using insights from analyzing the various industries and markets, assessing cross-company leverage, and collaborating with key partners.
  • Drive category initiatives (such as RFx or tailored negotiations) by leading strategic deal analysis, driving selection and negotiation processes, documenting savings, and employing strong project management skills in collaboration with internal and external partners across Comcast Cable and Sky.
  • Establish, negotiate, and implement strategic contracts (supply, support, development, etc. agreements). to assemble agreed terms.
  • Ensure management of strategic supplier ecosystem to achieve optimal supply (for pricing, innovation, quality, time-to-market, etc.) across various categories.
  • Drive up-to-date and accurate mapping and reporting of pricing, volumes, spend, and savings across various platforms to drive regular executive reporting with input from Procurement, Demand Planning, and Finance.
  • Support strategic efforts around roadmap planning, strategic supplier ecosystems, industry trends, and driven market dynamics related to cross-category planning and execution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • To own and drive multiple projects and categories, using data and information from various systems and/or people, driving commercial processes such as bids, negotiations, contracting, ensuring partner and executive alignment, etc.
  • Conducting and communicate financial analyses – manipulating raw data, drawing fact-based conclusions, and then distilling such information into compelling, executive-level presentations.
  • Analyzing industry and market trends and present clear insights and approaches to such trends.
  • The ability to collaborate with others and built relationships across multiple business units across international geographies.
  • The lean-in and hands-on attitude of an “owner, not a renter,” with high standards for work performance, the commitment to always do the right thing, and the vision to improve procurement’s contribution to the wider company’s goals and objectives.
