Job Description
- Originating, structuring, and negotiating corporate and utility PPA contracts and physical route to market agreements for renewables investments across multiple jurisdictions
- The building of a network of corporate/industrial off-taker relationships
- Providing in depth market analysis and expertise in relation to power markets, off take structures and route to market for renewables investments across Europe
- Understanding of the regulatory power markets/energy / off take landscape across the firm’s investments’ jurisdictions and understanding of key factors driving pricing and terms in PPA markets (merchant risk management, auctions, capacity markets, balancing mechanisms etc.)
- Innovation around hedging strategy, in particular in markets where it will allow the company to take a leading position in investments
- Providing inputs into and leading on the investment analysis and ownership of the off take section of the investment papers
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 10 years + experience working in energy sector, power markets / origination and structuring of off take contracts, energy sales, energy trading and/or energy contract structuring
- Education in engineering, energy science, economics, physics, mathematics, or business preferred
- Advanced professional financial qualification (e.g., ACA, CFA, MBA) preferred
