Job Description

You will be responsible for compiling the UK management accounts working across the finance and operational teams and supporting the Finance Department with various projects.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of management accounts within specified deadlines for review by the Finance Director
  • Preparing monthly schedules and posting journals
  • Prepayments for all subsidiaries
  • Accruals for all subsidiaries
  • Fixed Assets
  • Capitalization of staff costs (internally generated assets)
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review tasks completed by the finance assistant for accuracy and completeness (staff costs and overheads, staff expenses etc.)
  • Preparation of VAT Returns
  • Ensuring compliance with internal control processes
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports requested by Finance Manager
  • Support with liaising with external auditors
  • Provide support to colleagues in the finance team
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will have previous experience of preparing management accounts in an industry setting, Advanced Excel. You will have experience of working as a Finance Manager/ Financial Controller working sole charge and within a team. You will need to have excellent communication skills, be confident and committed and work well under pressure. Hybrid working 3 days in office and 2 days from home. Due to company growth this job is with the view to go permanent.
