Job Description

The role will be permanently based at our High Wycombe site, with the option for hybrid working of 2 days a week working from home.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting Monthly Preparation of Management Accounts for Asylum and MR entities/sites including:

  • Calculating and Posting of Accruals and Prepayments Posting payroll Fixed Asset additions/depreciation Balance Sheet Reconciliations and management (warranty/stock/SMOP/bad debt etc) Cost of Sales/Margin Analysis/Labor Recovery Review Check/agree intercompany balances with other sites Transfer pricing calculations on a monthly basis. Inventory Analysis (and working with Operations to action corrections)
  • Upload extended trial balance and other finance data into head office reporting tool
  • Analytical Review with Business Finance Lead Support Business Finance lead in consolidation processes and reports
  • Liaise with teams locally and internationally to ensure accounts are completed accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Quarterly balance sheet reviews with Business Finance Lead and International finance Manager
  • Support the monthly preparation of Visual Management KPI data for the businesses FX reporting of balances and flows on a monthly basis Monthly R&D labor recoveries, reporting and forecasting Weekly orders and revenue analysis Bank reconciliations on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure AP and AR transactions are posted in a timely manner Ad hoc reports/analysis as required by the business

Budgeting and Planning Responsible for managing the weekly revenue forecast for the business, liaising with operations and regional offices to have a full understanding order book for the business internationally and ensure operational order book is aligned Service Forecasting using a combination of order book and regional inputs Support budget processes – including P&L, balance sheet and cash

Support Business Finance Lead in each business to manage bonus and commission schemes Drive finance process improvements in reporting for the business Proactively provide regular and ad hoc financial information, analysis and advice on business issues to managers. Maintain effective working relationships across the business


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The Management Accountant will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

  • Fully qualified accountant preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience of success as the management accountant in a complex, international business
  • High professional integrity
  • Highly developed numeracy and analytical skills
  • Experience of consolidation, budgeting and forecasting
  • High degree of practical, commercial awareness, hands on approach
