Job Description

You will play a lead role in defining best practice for the accounting and delivery of financial close activities for two Ocado business units, partnering with the wider finance team to facilitate understanding of business performance and to deliver meaningful insights.

Some of the things you be doing:

• Producing the Technology and Platform Implementation management accounts by managing a team of 3, including journal review and balance sheet reconciliation sign off in line with the period end timeline
• Acting as the first point of contact for any Technology or Platform Implementation management accounts queries through having a robust and thorough understanding of Ocado’s finance activities and how numbers are produced for your business units
• Reviewing and consolidating level 1 variance analysis and commentary for your business units to drive insights and presenting an initial view of the financial performance to their respective Heads of Finance
• The development of 2 Finance Analysts and 1 Graduate and ensuring they are offered continuous growth whilst delivering a clean and accurate set of management accounts for your business units

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 2+ years PQE with relevant financial qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and understanding of relevant regulatory environments
• An understanding of core financial processes and relevant systems
• Knowledge of accounting, tax and reporting standards & principles
• Experience in a fast-paced global environment 
• Experience in delivering great customer / user experience
• Experience in process improvement, automation
