Job Description

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the operational management of the Finance function, the preparation of the budgets and financial projections of the Trust and for the control of monthly expenditure within approved budgets. The post-holder will also fulfil all statutory and legal accounting functions, prepare statutory accounts for year-end audit and line manage the Finance Team (2 staff).

Work Pattern: 22.2 hours per week, 43 weeks per year


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record in financial management. You must have significant experience of responsibility for budgets as well as experience of developing and managing relationships with professional and regulatory bodies. Previous experience in education is an advantage but not essential. You must demonstrate the ability to work accurately at pace with attention to detail, maintaining confidentiality and keeping a calm approach.
