Job Description

The Corporate Development Manager role is to deliver and exceed Zest Recycle's sales targets through selling the products and services provided by the Company. This may be through creating and converting a personal pipeline of sales opportunities or through responding to new tender opportunities. As a result, the ideal candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to meet personal sales targets through identifying and pursuing appropriate new business opportunities; preparing and delivering quotes, tender documents and presentations to prospects; and following up on enquiries to close the sale. Throughout which, the successful candidate will use the company's CRM system to record and track sales activities and opportunities.

The Corporate Development Manager will also work with the marketing team on Zest marketing campaigns and represent the company at key trade shows, meet the buyer events and conferences.

As we want our customers to experience first-class service from day one, this role also involves working with the Operations team to onboard new clients and mobilise their services to ensure it is efficient and smooth.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must have sales experience in either waste or FM
  • Experience of sales in a Broker or waste management company is desirable however, experience of B2B sales of a service is essential
  • Demonstrable persistence, drive and commitment to the delivery of targets, budgets and KPIs
  • Experience of writing tenders, presentations, and proposals
  • Experience of networking and other business development activities
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Be able to sell and negotiate with a range of individuals inside and outside of the organisation
  • Willingness to be flexible in approach
  • Organisation, planning and prioritization skills
  • Clear oral and written communication skills with an ability to engage effectively with a range of individuals, both within and outside the organisation
  • Socially confident
  • Excellent PC literacy with good knowledge of IT systems and full Microsoft Office suite
