Job Description
This position will give the successful candidate a unique opportunity to develop and broaden their production and commercial skills, working closely with our global sales colleagues to produce a wide range of four color formats to fulfil customer briefs or niche market opportunities. You will be involved in the development, negotiation, creation and delivery of products for various global markets across the Children’s list. With an opportunity for creativity and input into the development process, you will be responsible for all aspects of your projects from conception to delivery including costing, sourcing, scheduling, quality control and general problem solving. The role will have particular focus on product development and fast turnaround titles and previous experience of safety testing would be very desirable.
In addition to the responsibilities for the list you will also take on the line management of a production controller. This will involve the pastoral care of that controller, having regular catch ups, troubleshooting and carrying out annual. This is an excellent opportunity to develop management skills whilst also broadening production skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will have a proven ability to negotiate favorable pricing, will be organized and able to priorities in an efficient manner while demonstrating flexibility to accommodate demanding customer and schedule requirements. As a first rate communicator, you will be adept at building and maintaining effective relationships with our global sales teams, suppliers and creative colleagues alike. You will have a proactive approach with a keen desire to learn and to share. You should be comfortable working both independently and within a team. You’ll understand the role that production plays in a commercial environment and be profit oriented.
