Job Description

This is a newly created role for an experienced Qualified Accountant to join as a Finance Manager, reporting to the Finance Director, with a blend of financial accounting and commercial responsibilities.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of month-end accounting, including posting journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations; review of bank reconciliations
• Monthly reporting preparation including variance analysis
• Participate in the annual budget, quarterly reforecasting and cash flow forecasting
• Initial preparation of monthly Board pack
• Preparation of the year-end statutory accounts
• Preparation of quarterly covenant testing and report to bank
• Preparing or reviewing all returns (including VAT, CIS and ATED returns)
• Liaison with the auditors and other external third advisors

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Accounting qualification (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA)
• Prior experience in financial accounting in a real estate investment firm or practice is essential
• Strong technical skills, Excel included
• QUBE knowledge would be advantageous
• Hands on mentality
