Job Description

You will be monitoring incoming and outgoing vehicles, out of a busy working yard. You will use and monitor Yard management systems to book in units and trailers and also book them out. In the role you will be directing the yard shunters to the correct vehicles, making sure the units and trailers which need moving are moved to the correct bays/areas, full yard checks, documenting any damage on any units or trailers and relaying to the transport manager, keeping on top of any driver paperwork, completing handovers to the day staff once shift is complete, communicating and performance or yard related issues to the line manager, following the correct processes to ensure the right unit is with the correct trailer.

Hours

Working hours would be 18:00 to 06:00 Friday to Monday (4 Shifts a week, 48 hours). Overtime is available so being flexible with the days that you can work (Thursday to Tuesday) is a major plus point.

Salary

The rate of pay for this role would be £9.23ph equivalent to over £19k pa. You would work through Pure Staff for a period of time and then be a permanent member of staff once the period is up.
