Job Description

You will partner with our Managing Director and wider leadership team to formulate the strategic direction and to help lead the UK organization in accelerating the growth of the business following its acquisition by Laps. You will also operate as part of a larger group-based finance function and help drive synergies across our three key businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial planning and analysis to identify and unlock opportunities (3-year strategic planning and annual budget planning)
  • Build analytics capabilities to create actionable insight that drives growth
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end management accounts
  • Monthly and quarterly forecasting and performance reporting (financials and user metrics)
  • Weekly/monthly cash flow analysis and management
  • Oversee annual audit process
  • Payroll supervision and bonus calculations
  • UK VAT returns
  • Management of relevant vendors and partners
  • Management of customer and user payments for inventory acquisition
  • Lead and direct small, based Finance and Analytics team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A finance expert with 5+ years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within consumer facing online businesses in the UK and/or Europe.
  • Structured, critical thinker with highly evolved analytical skills that is willing to operate autonomously in a small but fast-growing organization.
  • Qualified Accountant, ideally with experience in an Accountancy firm.
  • Down to earth pragmatic operator, comfortable working remotely in matrix-based organization across multiple geographies and time zones.
