Job Description
The Group Finance Manager role offer great scope to carve out a broad and unique role with further development potential coming quickly for the right candidate as the CFO has laid out a plan for finance which sees the department double in the next 12-18 months.
Responsibilities:
- Full day-to-day financial responsibility for two key operating Companies, with the assistance of a Group Assistant Accountant
- Ownership of the Group cost Centre and any cross-charges to the Group’s subsidiaries
- Oversight, review and posting of all transactions within these Companies
- Daily, weekly, and monthly reports, versus budgets and rolling reforecasts
- Monthly review meetings with key stakeholders to review and challenge variance analysis
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements, including VAT, corporation tax and transfer pricing
- Liaise with advisors and external auditors when required
- Close liaison with operational team members
- Drive the implementation and monitoring of new business unit KPIs and productivity metrics
- Seek improvements to the financial reporting system and processes
- Coordinate and prepare finance material for Board meetings
- Be an engaging and trusted member of the finance team
- Ensure that finance input to the business is welcomed, trusted and respected as adding value whilst maintaining financial discipline
- Any other ad-hoc duties in the finance department
