Job Description

This role is responsible for enabling all financial output to the business and understanding the changing business requirements of financial and non-financial data. The role predominantly works with the wider finance and commercial teams, ensuring you’re at the forefront of influencing and decision-making based on analysis and a key understanding of the business and the changing economic environment

You will be responsible for:

• The provision of timely & accurate corporate reporting; monthly Board packs, daily and weekly company-level reporting
• Responsible for all weekly/monthly forecasts, sales/Margin/Payroll reporting
• Responsible for ad hoc corporate reporting and competitor analysis, including the provision of data
• Support Head of FP&A with annual budget and quarterly forecasting timetable management
• The primary point of contact for finance regarding reporting requirements; new reports, changes to existing reports, queries
• Drive continuous development of financial reporting, including any IT/analytics projects; identify opportunities in finance reporting space for new data, new reports, enhancements to existing reports, improvements to the timeliness of data

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A recognized accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) is preferred but will consider candidates who are qualified by experience
• In-depth experience of financial reporting and analysis
• Strong understanding of the P&L
• Experience of working with planning software (eg IBM Analysis, Essbase)
• Report writing in financial systems (eg General Ledger systems, BI tools, Access Database, and Excel)
• Experience in working in a similar role, preferably within a multi-site business environment
