Job Description

We are looking for a fully qualified financial accountant to join our team, the main responsibilities of this role will be to perform month end reporting and analysis for key P&L items, take ownership of Balance Sheet reconciliations and customer specific reporting requirements and ensure external reporting deadlines are complied with alongside internal head office key milestones.

Role Specifics

  • Support with month end reporting and analysis on key P&L line items.
  • Perform actuals vs. forecast/plan analysis and present results in the monthly Finance Director review.
  • Ensuring all external deadlines are met with good preparation.
  • Responsibility for reporting and engagement with selected operational business areas on their performance.
  • Understand key reconciliations and follow up any issues with the relevant member of staff and highlight any material issue to senior management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Educated to degree level
  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified/ finalist
  • Excellent knowledge of core Microsoft applications (Word and Excel)
  • A good understanding of financial reporting and balance sheets.
  • Ownership of tasks and issues through to completion
  • Confident and assertive, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and work pro-actively
  • Ability to priorities, plan and meet deadlines
  • Experience working in a business with a centralized group finance function
