Job Description

As this is a brand new role, there are no direct reports at present, but mentoring junior staff is expected and we are looking for someone with In-depth understanding of treasury and banking systems and processes. The role will also focus on recommending automation and process improvement opportunities.
What will you be doing?

  • Implementing the next phase of company’s system
  • Triaging our tickets appropriately to internal resources to reduce external consultancy use
  • Manage projects which can range from M&A, Treasury strategy for new business initiatives, integration work, refinancing the group, schemes related to our rating agencies
  • Responsible for supporting our Audit and Treasury Committee activities
  • Analyze and identify risks and opportunities in order to recommend actions to execute automation and process improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with banks and financial institutions to ensure timely execution of activities, and keeping company at the forefront of latest Treasury automation and cash management techniques
  • Support the planning, budgeting & forecasting processes
  • Thought leadership - Treasury Transformation projects and initiatives
  • Continuously improve processes and relevant treasury systems to ensure effective and compliance reporting and accounting
  • Create a culture of strong controls and compliance by implementing and maintaining relevant controls, particularly those which can be systematized and automated
  • Build and mentor a high-performing, highly engaged team by creating a culture of excellence

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • You will need to have experience of a treasury function in a fast-paced global environment with a keen interest in automation and process improvement
  • Have in-depth understanding of treasury and banking systems and processes
  • You will have a relevant treasury certification/qualifications or have 5+years QBE
  • Have the skill-set to motivate finance teams to drive towards a high service level and champion change and supports others through it
  • Have a mindset for continuous learning actively seeking and providing feedback with the ability to build and provide effective analysis & insight to support decision making
  • Ability to partner with senior managers and build strong relationships
