Job Description

Your ability to perform in a pivotal accounting role, alongside providing a great business partnering service to our scheme and some Care Homes will allow you to thrive in this role. You’ll have the support of an Assistant Regional Management Accountant who you will manage and develop to their full potential.

This role requires you to have a recognized accounting qualification or be in your final
stages of training (CIMA/ACCA), alongside previous experience in a medium sized company and management position.

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Regional Finance Manager in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and other ad-hoc analysis needed to deliver a business partnering service to the care homes and operations
  • Provide a Business Partnering service
  • Produce meaningful variance analysis which enables the Regional Finance Manager to understand key business issues and drivers of performance
  • Review variance analysis for schemes and guide the regional assistant management accountant in any further analysis required
  • Work collaboratively with key business partners and stakeholders to develop successful partnering relationships that work in the best interests of the Trust
  • Ensure region-specific invoicing for block contracts and supporting documentation is compiled and invoiced within specified deadlines and accurately reflects homes’ occupancy
  • Liaison with Accounts Payable to understand supplier costs and commitments by home
  • Assist Regional Finance Manager in business partnering with the homes
  • Other ad hoc financial responsibilities and tasks or investigative projects as required by the Regional Finance Manager
