Job Description
You will be a senior member of the support staff working for the school Bursar and have a close relationship with Governors and the Headmaster. You will have wide-ranging financial and organizational responsibilities within this role. You will have a naturally proactive approach to work, as well as able and willing to go the extra mile to produce work of the highest standard.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The Financial Controller must hold relevant formal financial qualifications and is likely to have Chartered status. The position is assisted by the Finance Officer (full time). It is essential that you are a confident, tactful and diplomatic communicator, both across the school and with parents alike, remaining aligned with the educational objectives of the school at all times. An understanding of charitable accounts and working knowledge of the latest charities SORP and how they relate to independent schools would be highly advantageous. You will have a positive and optimistic approach to life and work, coupled with an affable nature. You will also be to able to build good working relationships with the stakeholders of the school
