Job Description

The role is key to ensuring the finance team can deliver accurate and timely group consolidations and cash flow reporting have capacity to absorb future growth plans provide timely and clean annual audit completion and meet all other statutory and tax compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide cover in absence of Group Financial Controller
  • Staff management, including 1 -1's, annual reviews & performance plans
  • Identify and carry out training of finance team in line with objectives
  • Assisting and resolving complex transactional issues
  • Review and approve global payrolls
  • Monthly BS reviews with accounts team
  • Ownership of month end close process
  • Review and submission of group consolidation to Group Financial Controller
  • Key contact for regional auditors and tax advisors
  • Review and approve global payments
  • Continuous process and policy improvements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 3 to 5+ years of progressive finance experience with qualification (we would welcome newly qualified from practice to to apply)
  • Experience of working in a multi-currency, multi-country organization will be an advantage
  • Demonstrate a strong technical competency in financial accounting and reporting in a commercial setting
  • Proven experience of managing within a finance team.
  • Sage 50 experience and understanding of ERP systems such as Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics will be an advantage
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and be able to demonstrate experience in the production of complex spreadsheets and financial reports, and handling of large volumes of data
  • Excellent communication skills internally and externally.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making and a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
