Job Description

Due to the continued growth of our multi-disciplinary consulting practice, my client is seeking a Head of Financial Services to provide leadership, direction, and excellent advisory services for the financial division of the group.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Admin/Support to arrange Client review meetings where applicable
  • Managing their own portfolio clients
  • People management of the team of advisors, paraplanners and administrators
  • Ownership of the compliance requirements with our partners
  • Maintain annual Client review process by reviewing portfolios and writing review letters and updating systems.
  • Executing the vision of My client Financial
  • Undertake research as required for specific projects
  • Strategic direction into the products and services provided by the company
  • Learning and using all applications required for the job including:
    • Financial Express Analytics, Exchange
    • O & M
    • Intelliflo
    • Virtual Cabinet
    • Adviser Office/Activity Manager
    • Exweb
    • Excel/Word
    • Cofunds, OMW and Funds Network

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Comfortable preparing detailed letters and comprehensive reports using meeting notes an1d summaries.
  • Exchange would be desirable, although training will be given.
  • Numerate and familiar with operating and creating spreadsheets
  • Technical knowledge is a pre-requisite. The candidate should have attained the Diploma in Financial Planning and have a Level 4 Qualification as a minimum.
  • The candidate should have held CF30 status previously and be fully signed off with CAS status and already on the FCA register at their current firm.
  • The successful candidate should be comfortable and understand the structure of equity, pension and life products and more complex financial products.
  • Prepared to learn and to invest time to maximize their own potential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure to meet specific time deadlines
  • Articulate, well presented and comfortable dealing with a wide range of individuals including clients and other professionals, always maintaining the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Honesty, integrity, and ability to maintain good working relationships are key attributes
  • Attention to detail
  • Capable of working independently and the ability to manage own workload
  • Hard working and responsive to the need to deliver a high quality of service
