Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
* Development of internal reporting processes to ensure timely and insightful MI
* Support to the UK finance teams in building financial capability throughout the region, including ensuring thorough understanding of local numbers, robust reporting and resolution of any local reporting queries/issues.
* Assist in the training and ongoing support of all regional staff, including managers, depot admin and commercial admin and logistics
* Ensuring that actual costs are recovered within reported product costs and that variances are identified, analysed for trends etc.
* Daily operations reports: checking margin transactions, confirmations, any other margin transactions
* Month end reporting - producing management account reports at a depot, area and regional level for operations, commercial and logistics departments
* Budgets and forecasting - including asset replacement programme
* Liaising with IT for developments and testing of new functions
* Inter-depot price and weight confirmations - ensure they are completed and policed in a timely manner and any discrepancies reported and investigated
* Trend analysis not limited to: grades, sectors, volume, margin and overhead. Offering recommendations for business improvement
* Security reports and highlighting anomalies for action
* Assist in ad hoc reporting and analysis
* Proactive approach to continuous improvement within all aspects of the role in conjunction with the Business Improvement Team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, qualified finance professional with proven experience in developing positive relationships with Executive, Senior & Depot Management. You will possess excellent presentation and data analysis skills, with a keen eye for detail and problem solving. Candidates with previous experience of working within large Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics sectors will be of particular interest however, experience of multi-site and a previous regional remit will hold a distinct advantage.
