Job Description

This is a key area of our business that has a fundamental impact on our Consumer P&L performance. This role supports sales execution and cost management for the Online channel. This person will need to work collaboratively with the Head of Online. With a growing revenue, you will support delivery of business plans, financial targets and help steer channel strategy to drive future growth. This role will need a commercially focused business partner to support on decision making around commercials.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be the Business Partner for Online; required to build strong relationships with Head of Online including strong financial leadership and governance on channel performance management.
  • Ensuring best practice is delivered in the channel. 
  • You will support and guide efficiencies, from both an operational and cost perspective, with value-add recommendations to ensure the trading & cost targets are met, constant review of cost base to ensure targets are delivered.
  • Attend and support Online meetings, being accountable for bringing advice, insight, support and challenge to the table in order to actively contribute to the shaping of Online strategy. 
  • Reviewing business cases and providing financial analysis to ensure all risks and opportunities are fully understood and approved, with follow up via post implementation reviews.
  • Understand channel profitability to advise on maximum return from Online, including assumptions to build into business cases
  • Using a collaborative approach to build wider business relationships, pro-actively work with stakeholders across finance and sales trading teams to introduce improved processes & policies to focus on delivery of business targets. 
  • Monthly reporting to stakeholders including Channel leads and finance.
  • Ensure the required SOX controls are in place and maintain an audit trail of any promotional activities to support SOX requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • A highly motivated self-starter, able to deliver high quality commercial support with minimal guidance.
  • Strong track record in building relationships and influencing.
  • Highly analytical to support business cases.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate information to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to priorities to drive value add & work to tight deadlines.
  • Willing to travel between company sites and offsite for meetings, as required.
