Job Description

We need an experienced Head of Financial Control with a passion for people development and building high performing teams. You’ll hit the ground (barefoot) running across the three main pillars you’ll be building.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Setting the vision for the Financial Control team and the structure required to realise it.
  • Bringing clarity to individual and collective roles and responsibilities.
  • Fostering an environment of psychological safety, constant learning and professional development.

  • Ensuring general ledger integrity through the design and operation of key financial controls.
  • Leading the month end close process.
  • Leading the weekly & monthly cash and working capital management and forecasting process.
  • Owning the budgeting, forecasting, and control of company’s overhead cost base.
    Ensuring all company’s tax and statutory obligations are discharged accurately, on time, and in full.
  • Leading the annual statutory audit process and owning the relationship with our external auditors.
  • Constantly seek out new opportunities to optimize and automate manual financial processes.
  • Partner with the Head of Commercial Finance in leading the annual planning process and 5 year financial forecast.
  • In partnership with Finance Systems & Tech team, ensure ERP system (NetSuite) evolves to sustain scale.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial performance.
  • Embedding and maintaining an effective control environment.
  • Effectively managing cash and debt position.
  • Supporting the business in carefully and flexibly managing cost.
  • Ensure financial systems and processes are efficient and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure company adheres to relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
  • 5+ years post-qualified financial control experience in a comparable industry and business size.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and agility.
  • A demonstrable track record in people leadership and development.
  • You exercise sound judgment and apply critical thought to all situations.
  • You possess a keen interest in Regenerative Leadership and building future-fit businesses.
