Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic qualified accountant to undertake the Financial Controller role, supporting the Group Financial Controller, CFO and wider Finance team. A minimum of 2 days office, 3 days home working expected
What you can expect to be doing

  • Responsible for all monthly Management Information and support the Finance Manager with technical expertise.
  • Provide intelligent and insightful business commentary as part of the monthly Board Pack production.
  • Technical expert for the team, managing the audit and developing a good working relationship with external partners on all areas of taxation, treasury and financing
  • Ownership and production of revenue budgets & forecasts and review of revenue models. Regular business forecasting for both P&L and short term cashflow
  • Build and own group the Product & Margin analysis for generating insights for business performance and strategy
  • Work with management and heads of capacity and service demands to help with resource planning
  • Business Partnering for at least one of the Pillars and working with senior stakeholders to challenge and support the business development and growth strategy
  • Overhaul the business working capital cycle and drive change through the invoice to cash process.
  • Devise and deliver streamlined scalable processes and methods to improve the financial running and commerciality of the business
  • Frequent ad-hoc analysis to support the management team, this will include both technical and commercial and cover F,P&A, Business Cases and M&A
  • Team Management: manage the Finance Manager and Ledger team to improve performance and efficiency.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with 4+ PQE experience in industry, either as an established Controller or a Finance Manager with suitable experience and ambition to step up to play a wide role across the growing organization
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with stakeholders at all levels and confidence to support and challenge the senior team.
  • Great team management skills are required
  • The personality and gravitas to present to company executives and the Board
  • Experience of delivering excellent management information using high level excel and modelling, ideally with great data manipulation and presentation skills.
  • There is an upcoming ERP and Finance System implementation so previous finance systems (likely to be Oracle Netsuite) and project experience would be beneficial
  • Experience of a professional services environment and a multi-currency organization is advantageous but not essential, previous P/E experience would be very useful
  • Strong task management skills and the ability to see tasks through to completion.
  • The ability to work without constant supervision is a pre-requisite
  • Attention to detail is critical with the ability and motivation to get tasks done "right first time"
