Job Description

The ambition is to build an impactful global procurement team which supports pladis strategy and global operating model whilst enabling the regions to deliver their strategic plans.

The Procurement Finance Team support the strategic road map by offering insightful decision support, navigate the business through the planning and reporting cycles whilst maintaining a strong control environment.

  • Provide end-to-end Finance business partner support to Procurement team
  • Procurement Financial Strategy development
  • Finance decision support on all key Procurement initiatives
  • Project Work and adhoc analysis to support the strategic agenda
  • Complete period end close process
  • Production of periodic results and Quarterly forecast pack for use by Senior leadership team
  • Performance Forecasting through Quarterly updates, periodic forecast and Opportunities & Risks processes
  • Complete Short-Term forecasting process
  • Performance Management through period reporting, analysis and communication
  • Budget setting incl Investment, Cost saving targets & spend
  • Manage / review cost savings projects and data integrity on tracker sheets
  • Manage the standard setting process for Budget and alignment with commercial business divisions
  • Application of pladis financial controls, policies & procedures across Buyers
  • Validation of cost savings projects
  • Internal & External Audit - review requirements & follow-up actions
  • Periodic Control Review & Reporting
  • Risk management framework compliance including Hedging & foreign exchange
  • Be a proactive and supporting member of a highly flexible result driven team
  • Manage the relationship with the offshore team to ensure “right first-time results”
  • Develop, share and implement finance standard methodology and incorporate any external findings
  • Ownership of Personal Development plan and appetite for self-development

Working Pattern: This role offers an agile 3,2 working pattern with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Applicants encouraged to be an experienced CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant or equivalent with a consistent track record.
  • Positive teammate with a desire to challenge and drive improvement.
  • Financial modelling and report development (Need to be comfortable managing & Interrogating large amounts of data and drawing conclusions)
  • Able to demonstrate a proven communication and leadership ability, with the gravitas to build solid, successful working relationships cross functionally
  • The desire to challenge the status quo
  • Comfortable leading change initiatives and projects
  • Pro-active self-starter who can work to deadlines
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power point
  • Technical accounting appreciation (IFRS9), particularly hedging
  • Knowledge of SAP processes or other relevant systems and ability to get up to speed quickly on relevant systems
  • Experience working in Procurement environment ideally in FMCG business
  • Business Partnering experience
  • Technical Accounting- Hedging & Forex Financial Management
