Job Description
- Oversee the month end process and produce information and reports to ensure the smooth running of the overall month end procedures across the team
- Responsible for ensuring the efficient and accuracy recording of information in the ledgers including; classification of revenue and expenditure to correct cost centers and ledger codes, production and review of the month and year-end accruals and prepayments
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset register and the calculation of monthly depreciation, as well as reviewing the assets held annually and preparing and auctioning write offs
- Production and review of reports and schedules for internal control and reporting purposes including balance sheet reconciliations, Inter-company reconciliations and supporting schedules for Financial and Management accounts.
- Management and analysis of profit and loss accounts
- Assist with Accounts Payable providing support and cover as necessary, liaising with the business and suppliers to resolve queries, and ensure the smooth running of the Accounts Payable process.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Nearly qualified or qualified accountant
- Strong experience in a financial accounting role, inclduding working to trial balance
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel required
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written and ability to build relationships across the business.
