Job Description

• Making sure that company related journal postings are made correctly and on time during the monthly, quarterly and annual closing and reporting cycle
• Ensuring a robust and well controlled balance sheet
• Analyzing and explaining balance sheet developments from an operational, commercial and accounting perspective to stakeholders on all levels
• Collaborating with other members of the finance community across all markets to solve problems and harmonize and optimize processes
• Contributing towards group wide project activities, subprojects and take ownership of designing accounting processes
• Improving transparency on the overall balance sheet position across all airlines by building a reporting suite & KPI’s in this area that enables senior stakeholders to gain a clear and speedy insight into the area
• Working closely with your manager and the Head of Finance to develop a roadmap for this area across all five Airlines and pave the way towards an aligned accounting function

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Part / qualified accountant or extensive experience working in finance/controlling
• Excellent analytical skills
• A self-starter with strong problem solving skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Diligent with a good eye for details while keeping overarching goals in mind
• Ability to analyze and present complex topics to senior stakeholders
• Good project management and strong intercultural communications skills
• Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
• Other language skills (German, Dutch, Swedish) a plus
• Experience working experience with SAP and Oracle HFM
