Job Description
  • Working with the FC&R team to assist in compiling management accounts for the UK and Germany.
  • Work on month end process improvements to increase efficiency within the team and enable quicker reporting.
  • Identifying areas where the team can use Netsuite more efficiently (we have recently moved from Xero to NetSuite).
  • Involvement in shaping the month end process using Netsuite.
  • Assist the Head of Control and Reporting on the statutory audits of our legal entities, both in preparation pre audit and acting as a resource for the audit teams throughout the process.
  • Assist in the review of UK statutory financial statements and UK group consolidated financial statements (FRS 102).
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations - supporting the Group Head of Financial Reporting to develop “best practice” processes around month end balance sheet reconciliations and supporting the junior team in preparing these.
  • Collaboration with the Group Tax manager to ensure compliance across the UK for all reporting requirements.
  • Adhoc support across our group finance team to align FC&R processes and through this implementing a clear process to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
  • Strong financial excel skills with a high attention to detail, together with an ability to interpret and communicate conclusions. Ability to manipulate and review data sets using excel.
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership of significant areas of work and keep to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to spot problems, identify potential efficiencies, and suggest improvements.
  • You are enthusiastic, self-motivated, adaptable and innovative; willingness to get stuck in and get your hands dirty.
  • Strong team player; you develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Confident liaising with auditors to provide information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using NetSuite would be an advantage.
