Job Description

As Accountant, reporting into the Financial Director you will take responsibility for the core finance of the organisation. You will have support from a Payroller and an Accounts Assistant.
Your role will include:

• Prepare, compile, and manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any issues for two companies
• Control Fixed assets and HP accounting
• Provide cover for payroll and develop the payroll review and analysis
• Provide assistance as required for the purchase ledger
• Play a key role in month end processes.
• Prepare and submit the UK VAT returns
• Work with the FD to develop and improve the efficiency of the accounting operations
• Prepare adhoc reporting required across the business as required.
• Provide audit support as required by the Finance Director
• Assist the Finance Director in various adhoc projects

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will either have experience within an accountancy firm or be currently working in one. This client is really looking for a candidate with a technical accounting skill set to complement the team and work closely with the Financial Director.
