Work with Heads of FP&A, Finance BPs, Accountants, FLT and CFO to build an agreed set of requirements for the second major development phase of end-to-end reporting (Basket Profitability).
Lead and co-ordinate the day-to-day activities of a three-month development sprint with Technology, Avanade (implementation partner) and BI to build the new Basket Profitability tool in Microsoft Azure and reporting functionality in Power BI.
Ensure key stakeholders are engaged throughout the process and Basket Profitability delivers in-line with requirements, on-time, escalating project issues where necessary.
Transition the Product & Channel Profitability model built into a BAU state, whereby the model is updated each financial period. The ongoing ownership of the model should be transferred to the underlying owners within Finance.
Drive and support the adoption and use of E2E reporting across the business, which will include running training sessions for business users.
Co-ordinate and support the Portfolio/Business Partner teams in using the E2E tool to drive positive change in the Currys business and deliver a £2m efficiency challenge.
Develop and implement a governance process with Accountants, Finance BPs, and the E2E to effectively manage queries, change requests and development for E2E users.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of operating within an FP&A or Accounting function, preferably at a large complex organization.
Experience with the production of management information documents for senior stakeholders.
Able to apply financial knowledge to commercial and operational areas and explain results clearly to others (Advanced).
Manage and influence senior stakeholders (Advanced).
Delivers projects end-to-end to conclusion in a planned and controlled manner.
Able to analyze and understand complex data and situations to recommend the optimal solution (Advanced).
Able to tell a complex story in a compelling manner via all means of communication.
