Job Description
- Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring all requirements & deadlines are met
- Liaising with clients ensuring all data is received as required, processing expenses & invoices
- Petty cash, bank account and supplier statement reconciliations as well as cash flow management
- Preparation and processing of payment runs and monthly journals for review; salary, prepayment, accruals reversal, depreciation
- Execution of accounts payable & statutory liability bank payments
- Assisting senior team members as well as other departments as and when required
- Carry out proactive research and identify enhancements to existing compliance routines and control systems to improve efficiencies
- Liaising with local service providers, providing source documentation to enable all foreign compliance returns to be filed in a timely manner
- Assisting with the preparation of year end audit support files & providing assistance when needed
- Set up of accounting packages and chart of accounts
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts and specialized / ad hoc reports for clients when required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 1-2 years of prior experience in a similar role, in an accountancy practice environment
- Ideally studying towards AAT although this is not essential
- Strong IT and Excel skills and knowledge of cloud based accounting packages is desirable
- The ability to manage own tasks and meet tight deadlines
- The desire to progress your own accounting skills and knowledge
