Job Description

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and CEO, the successful candidate will support the managers in the delivery of financial reporting, control, compliance and Project Management.

  • Supervise the IT and ERP Team, to ensure the efficient support to other departments.
  • To ensure data integrity in the ERP system.
  • To be the internal project leader for the implementation of all Finance related IT systems at all of our sites.
  • To produce, review and manage the management accounts process and structure and to supervise the production of those accounts.
  • Manage the Insurance portfolio across the business.
  • Maintenance and review of all customer contracts, including the review and renewal of the same.
  • Manage and lead compliance reporting across the business including VAT, EC reporting, Waste, Plastic tax, etc.
  • To produce, review and maintain all KPIs and internal reporting processes to reduce clerical work involved, improve their accuracy and ensure they are useful tools for management.
  • To ensure that a high level of control is maintained upon the expenditure within the sites.
  • To review all capital expenditure proposals, and account for all capital expenditure projects.
  • To ensure that a high level of control is maintained upon the working capital within the sites
  • To ensure the provision of weekly accounts to the key stakeholders to allow the execution of key decisions whilst ensuring that all reporting deadlines are met.
  • To ensure that monthly accounts are produced with detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
  • To review and implement improvements to the level of financial control across the company.
  • To liaise with and work with all other departments to ensure that all company financial requirements are executed.
  • To implement and maintain good operating practices and structures within the Finance department.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience in auditing and preparation of financial statements 
  • Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to undertake wide ranging work from administration to technically challenging work, and able to organize your own priorities and workflow
  • Great time management skills and used to working to monthly reporting deadlines
  • Accomplished MS Excel skills to generate insightful analysis from large quantities of data (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, Power Query, etc.).
