Yearly and half-yearly preparation of Group and subsidiary financial statements
Preparation and ownership of consolidation schedules and presentation
Preparation and ownership of cash flow for Group financial statements
Responsible for Property accounting, including maintenance of the fixed asset register, owning IFRS 16 calculations and ensuring lease schedule is up to date
Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and analysis of movements
Process and controls improvement & implementation where required
Support in preparing financial information for year-end audit, half-year interim accounts and subsidiaries
Support in managing relationships with external auditors and other external professional advisors (tax compliance, IFRS 2).
Maintenance of cash flow forecast for rent and service charge
Responsible for ensuring capital spend forecasts are up to date, working with the Property team and external consultants to maintain accuracy
Reviewing all property-related invoices (includes PO approvals).
Management of a Finance Assistant for all property-related invoicing and ad-hoc jobs
Working with external consultants on rent reviews and lease management
Work closely with the Senior Finance Manager to implement timely review and correction of balance sheet postings
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be a Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least 1 years post-qualification experience.
Exceptional IFRS technical skill, with exposure to IFRS 16
Experience from a “multi-site” business, ideally within Hospitality, Retail, or Leisure.
Experience in Group consolidation and Accounts preparation
A keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to understand the “big picture”
Excellent communication skills, working with finance and non-finance teams
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Case ware would be desirable
