This role is also expected to develop supplier relationships as well as ensuring the business is aware of market changes, impacts of legislation or regulation and assist in the implementation of the overall business strategy in the relevant market areas.
To be considered for this role you must have a proven track record of prioritising workload to meet deadlines and a working knowledge of finance cost management and risk management. The ability to anticipate change and produce solutions is essential. Strong communication skills are required for this role
Responsibilities
Coordinate successful sourcing strategy
Strong experience in contract implementation and management
Experience in growing strong relationships with suppliers
Facilitate introduction of key suppliers to company level stakeholders
Contribute to supplier risk identification and mitigation to ensure compliance with risk mapping
Ensure collaborative interactions between Buyers and the Category Management teams
Boost influence and recognition of the procurement function within the community of Business Stakeholders
Contribute to the yearly ambition plan and implement continuous improvement throughout the procurement cycle
Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company
Identifies and researches potential new suppliers
Research new products and services to meet the company's goals
Assesses the total costs of company purchases
Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
Reports to Production / Project Director

The ideal candidate will have a background procuring goods within the Manufacturing industry and have strong Excel abilities.
