Job Description
  • Support of provision of bookkeeping services
  •  Entering clients’ accounts onto Sage or other appropriate bookkeeping system (in-house or on site)
  • Purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
  •  Bank reconciliations
  •  Accounts to trial balance
  • Monthly VAT returns meeting HMRC deadlines
  •  Managing own portfolio of clients
  •  Visiting clients as and when required to assist with book-keeping function (own car required)
  •  Special one-off assignments for clients, i.e., training, problems and providing cover for emergencies

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bookkeeping experience (3+ years preferred)
  • Xero and Sage 50 experience preferred but not essential
  •  Experience of DEXT or similar products desirable
  •  Fully competent on excel and outlook
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Use of own initiative
  • Good team player
  • Highly organized and ability to priorities own workload
  •  Effective attention to detail
  •  A degree of flexibility in hours worked to allow for travel to/from clients as and when required
