Job Description
  • Responsibility for overall management of commercial finance planning and analysis for sales, margin and income ensuring clear articulation of company KPIs, risks and opportunities.
  • Provide analysis, insight and informative reporting as required by the UK Finance Director to support and influence business decisions including price and promotion.
  • Take the lead on enhancement, standardization and automation of budgeting and planning and reporting processes, with a view to delivering agile reporting, robust financial controls, data integrity and accuracy.
  • Responsibility for management of total Net margin ensuring delivering budgets, month ends full understanding of kpi’s and kpi analysis, highlighting any opps and risks to the UK.
  • Oversee the transformation project to deliver system led development and automation of the various processes, such as reporting for the Trading pack, monthly reporting, income reporting and forecasting.
  • Responsibility to deliver the Trading pack and management information on all Commercial kpi’s.
  • Responsibility for new business budgeting and forecasting, including performance analysis for new stores.
  • Responsibility for the production of Store and category P&L’s to support business decisions and improve profits.
  • Responsible to produce robust cash flow and balance sheet forecasts for sales ledger and manage a strong balance sheet, including closely working with the Financial Accountant and Merchandising team on Stock forecasting and governance.
  • Lead a team of eight, creating the right environment for development and high performance. 
  • Influence debate with senior management regarding the correct level of costs for the business; recognizing KPIs beyond profit.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified (CIMA/ACMA/ACA) with at least 5 years post qualified experience gained within industry.
  • Proven experience of Business partnering, forecasting and delivering month end.
  • A background of supporting and challenging businesses to make optimal operational and performance decisions.
  • A proactive approach to driving improvement to our outputs and processes.
  • Commercially minded – quick to understand the business and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Analytical – able to present complex data in an understandable and impactful way.
