Job Description

The primary purpose of the role is work on ongoing systems improvements and developments, working with key stakeholders within the business, and supporting the development of Finance Systems and Data Control landscapes, maintain the accuracy of master data (product, supplier and property) across the business at the highest levels. The successful candidate will have system implementation experience, excellent finance knowledge, and a problem-solving mindset. This role will work closely with team members at various levels and with new technologies.

  • Identifying and analyzing process improvement opportunities
  • Lead and implement process improvements projects
  • Regular interaction with business stakeholders to ensure master data is correct and accurate
  • Understanding the retail timelines for events
  • Ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are adhered to and delivered and KPIs are reported
  • Management of the team ensuring training is up to date and processes adhered to

  • Have advanced excel skills and possess strong technical knowledge, studying towards an accounting qualification, partly qualified or qualified - CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW or international equivalent
  • Analytical and results driven, with a high standard of accuracy, able to use a wide range of different data sources to assess performance and identify areas of improvement.
  • Experience in successfully managing and developing a small team
  • Knowledge and experience in finance processes undertaken by centralized finance functions/ Shared Service Centre’s
  • Ideally within a retail environment
  • Experience in launching sizable ERP systems highly advantageous, particularly Oracle.
  • Knowledge and experience with managing projects and process improvement initiatives.
