Job Description
This will encompass responsibility for budgeting and forecasting, modelling and evaluation of commercial initiatives, and reporting/analysis for the ecommerce channel. You will have a full understanding of what the ecommerce/digital roadmap looks like over the current and future years to deliver our targets. You will be an effective challenger to ensure we are hitting our potential as a team.
Main responsibilities:
- Monitor and review weekly ecommerce metrics/KPIs, pro-actively understanding and highlighting any impact these may have on financial results.
- Supporting the ecommerce team with optimizing digital marketing expenditure to drive incremental sales
- Work collaboratively the Management Accounts team to ensure the monthly financial results for the retail business are completed accurately and on time.
- Attend monthly review meetings with business partners to review periodic financial performance, providing insight to any variances, and proactively highlight any risks and opportunities to budget/forecast.
- Proactively partner with the ecommerce leadership team to ensure delivery of financial targets, ensuring commercial decisions are taken with full consideration and evaluation of their financial impact.
- Work with the relevant business partners to understand the medium-term plan and translate this into a robust and accurate annual budget
- Provide appropriate level of challenge to ensure budgets that align with the strategic objectives of the business.
- Responsible for submitting and loading the annual budget into Hyperion Planning system
- Present ecommerce budget to senior leadership in budget review meetings, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Work collaboratively all relevant business stakeholders to develop a continuous feedback approach to ensuring risks and opportunities are highlighted and can be addressed/reflected in the quarterly forecasts.
- Attend forecast meetings with relevant business partners to deliver accurate sales and margin forecasts, in line with strategic objectives, providing challenge where appropriate.
