Job Description
You will be responsible for deliverables on a range of projects, including directives from the Executive and Board, specific finance initiatives as well as cross-functional tasks, supporting the strategic objectives of company. The position will entail taking a lead role (where appropriate), driving and supporting initiatives, and acting in an advisory capacity to other relevant stakeholders to promote development and change within the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, driving and supporting finance initiatives, directives from the Executive and the Board, as well as ad hoc projects; particularly in support of the Deputy CFO.
- Becoming the subject matter expert in above projects (where applicable) and to act in an advisory role to relevant stakeholders on application, implementation and/or interpretation
- To lead, co-ordinate and project manage finance integrations
- Supporting the delivery of acquisition related tasks
- Representing Group Finance and being the spokesperson for the department in cross-functional initiatives (where appropriate)
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in the Group finance function and, where relevant take responsibility for driving these through
- Act as an integral part of the decision making process where relevant and with direct support of the Deputy CFO
- Being a delegate where appropriate for Deputy CFO for Group Finance strategic projects in committee meetings and execution meetings
- Chairing the monthly Finance change meeting and owning the change process for the Finance function
