Job Description
The main duties of the role include:
- Being responsible for maintaining up-to-date accounting records and bank reconciliations of various transactions for the school.
- Leading on reviewing the purchase ledger and following up on overdue invoice approvals.
- Playing a critical role in reconciling credit card transactions to the nominal account.
- Working closely and liaising on a continuous basis with the teachers and administrative staff on any finance related matters.
This role calls for someone who has strong attention to detail and is able to work with a high volume of transactions whilst remaining calm under pressure. The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant accounting qualification is ideal.
- Recent working experience in an accounts payable or similar position.
- Knowledge of purchase ledgers, bank and corporate card reconciliations.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
- Adaptable and willing to work beyond their standard job description.
