Job Description

The candidate will sit within a Project Management Office (PMO) and will help support the development of integrated project schedules, financial reports and performance indicators and will proactively maintain the Performance Measurement Baseline. 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining fully resources Project Schedules, both Customer and Internal facing
  • Creating Project Performance Reports using EVM, showing both Cost and Schedule Performance (CV, SV, CPI and SPI)
  • Collaborating with the Finance Team to extract project actual costs and understanding how this impacts project performance
  • Analyzing ongoing progress and performance, assessing this against contractual and internal targets - determining variance and its respective causes.
  • Deploy, Manage and Maintain the Projects Performance Measurement Baseline
  • Provide Project / Programme Managers with real-time performance data when required
  • Develops tailored financial models for projects in support of the monthly reporting process
  • Develops finance reports, including Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Complete (EAC)
  • Develops resource graphs showing resource loading by function and individuals
  • Supports and chairs Risk Reviews is support of Project Risk Management activities
  • Performs schedule risk analysis in support of the Programme Manager
  • Liaises and co-ordinates with consortium project teams and other business units to resolve problems
  • Supports collation of labor actuals costs through timesheet recording

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Previous experience working in a project controls / management environment within the defense / manufacturing industry
  • Significant experience in Earned Value Management methods and reporting (SV, CV, CPI, SPI, EAC, ETC)
  • Expert with Risk and project management tools especially MS Project and Primavera P6
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Good organizational skills, demonstrated through ability to plan and priorities
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good personal, Interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Highly proficient in planning and control
  • Highly Proficient with SAP Tool and related planning
  • Expert with Risk and project management tools especially MS Project
  • Ability to challenge the forecast of schedule and cost
  • Understanding of the Performance Management & company processes & procedures
  • Excellent computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to develop and influence company cost systems & performance measures for project, overheads & capital costs
